Cymbopogon,
better known as lemongrass is a genus of Asian, African, Australian, and
tropical island plants in the grass family. These are commonly cultivated as
culinary and medicinal herbs because of their scent, resembling that of
lemons.
This grass grows in dense clumps that can grow to 6 ft in height and about
4 ft in width.
Lemongrass is used for treating digestive tract spasms, stomachache, high
blood pressure, convulsions, pain, vomiting, cough, achy joints (rheumatism),
fever, the common cold, and exhaustion. It is also used to kill germs and as
a mild astringent.
Lemongrass may survive the winter and return in the spring even though the
plant's leaves die back. It's roots are typically hardy, the plant may return
year after year. Disclaimer * Plants will be delivered separately.
